Information when purchasing magazines

Due to new regulations effective July 1, 2023, you must present a valid firearms license for the firearm the magazine is intended to be used with. When purchasing a magazine, you must therefore attach a photo of your firearms license.

A permit is required for:

  • Removable magazines for semi-automatic center-fire firearms, if they can hold:
  • More than 20 cartridges, or

A magazine holding more than 10 rounds may be used in a firearm where:

  • the barrel length exceeds 30 cm, or
  • the total length of the weapon exceeds 60 cm

Important when ordering

  • Please email a photo of your valid firearms license and ID to gesab@skyttetjanst.se
  • Orders without the proper documentation cannot be processed
